Kwame Evans Sarpong

was born on July 17, 2016. Kwame was raised by his grandmother after his parents passed away but sadly after his grandmother got older she struggled to take care of him by herself so he was sent to a children’s home in Atwima Koforidua.

In February of 2023 Kwame was rushed to the hospital for symptoms such as a swollen throat and eyes. The doctors thought he was having pain due to an enlarged kidney however after a series of tests, they found out that he was suffering from cancer. Kwame was unfortunately diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a common childhood cancer.

Upon learning about the diagnosis a GoFundMe was set up for him, where people were very generous and touched by his story. The Voice of Mercy Organization did everything they could to sponsor his chemotherapy treatments and other expenses. While Kwame was here he enjoyed eating hearty meals, cracking jokes and playing with his toy trucks.

Kwame contracted TB which made his condition worse and lead him to passing On July 7th Kwame transitioned to be with the lord after a long battle with this disease. We thank everyone for their efforts and prayers and hope to continue helping and supporting children like him.
